Wines tasted: Cave de Gortona 2008 Pinot Noir 100% Vin de Pays du Val de Loire - Thauvenay-en-Sancerre, France Great nose, with earthy, cranberry, ripe red berries and licorice. ViiniTV VWT 4.2.
Yesterday I attended to the ViiniTV’s virtual tasting the Gnarley Head Zin. It gathered quite a crowd with over 50+ people from all over Finland! What amazes me is that people decided to sit in front of their laptops / computers on Friday evening tasting wine and sharing that experience with others and asking questions from the winemaker itself. Ilkka and Arto has done a great job hosting...

Visit to NoSToS winery
Me and my wife opened our eyes to a new day as the sunshine came through our terraces glass door. The first thing that popped to my head was: “What’s the time, how long until the visit..”. We were rather excited about our visit to NoSToS winery visit in Vatolakos which is located around 20 km from center of Chania in Crete. Fast forwarding to the taxi ride which was,...

Mosel Bridge - A fighting change?
Everyone concerned about the Mosel Bridge situation and who would like to read the latest updates should turn their eyes on this blog. Sarah Washington is fighting against this rather horrific bridge being build over Mosel and she is one of the driving forces against the ‘B50 High Mosel Bridge project” and author of the Heimweh blog. The International Grenache Day is here and will launch for the first time on 24th of September all over the world. Greetings from Crete
I’m currently writing to you from Crete. The sun is shining on around 30 degrees Celsius. We are situated in Kolymbari, Crete in a beautiful hotel called “Cavo Spada” which is around 18 kilometers from Chania. This place is beautiful, the sea, food and weather has been perfect. People here are very friendly and the wine is good. Even the hotel Cavo Spada’s house wine...
